Suspended Installation, 2015
Shortwave radio tuned to Air Traffic Control, electrical cable, switch box, light bulb responding to radio, connected to power from ceiling or wall
10ft High x 3ft Diameter
Nest envisions the fluid architecture of a home as a migratory space induced by electrical pathways and communication that are made possible via feminized labor. Voices from Air Traffic Control tuned into the radio produce a beacon of light nearly touching the ground. The woven cables, situated at the height of a torso, present a womb-like structure of flight and belonging.
